I’m mostly described as ‘a little bit mad’ but I am also a mother of 3, a teacher and scientist but not necessarily always in that order! I currently work at Idsall School in Shropshire teaching Chemistry and Physics. I have a Geology degree from Imperial College in London. Geology still remains a passion for me, but after being invited onto an Astronomy project I have been hooked ever since. As well as these branches of science I also enjoy (but seldom understand) the weird world of Quantum Physics. I was lucky enough to visit CERN last year; I was amazed by the science and by the contrast of vast caverns and tiny intricacies of wiring. Most of my time is taken up with family fun, but if I get a chance I like to sit down and get lost in a good book – although this doesn’t happen very often.
