2015 Open Discovery Space Contest

2015 Open Discovery Space Contest

Following the success of the 2014 edition of the Open Discovery Space Contest, the Consortium is already working on the 2015 edition!
The 2015 edition revolves around two contests, a National Contest, at the end of which National winners will be awarded, and an International Contest, bringing together all the National winners.

The Open Discovery Space Contest is targeting teachers all around Europe. To enter the Contest, teachers will have to submit an innovative interesting and successful Teaching Scenario through the ODS Community Website.

The National Contest will be organised in 20 ODS countries by all the National Coordinators, as well as in additional countries with ODS-affiliated Schools. The contest officially kicks-off on the 15th of October, with a deadline to submit a Teaching Scenario by the 31st of December 2014. The results of the National Contests will be known by January the 15th 2015. All National winners will win a seat at the 2015 edition of the ODS Summer School, a wonderful opportunity to learn from and exchange with other European teachers on methodologies and the use of ICTs in classrooms.

All the winning National Context teaching scenarios will then be examined by an international jury of experts, in the second round of the ODS Contest. The results of the International Contest will be announced on the 15th of February 2015. The prize is still to be determined.

What the ODS aims at achieving is:

  • To motivate teachers to exchange their teaching scenarios with other colleagues in their own and in other countries;

  • To motivate teachers to use more innovative educational ways;

  • To motivate teachers to use the ODS portal.

If you are interested in participating, you can find further information on the ODS web site. Would you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the National Coordinator for your country, or - if your country does not have an ODS National Coordinator - Rosa Doran from Nuclio in Portugal!

We hope to hear from many of you and wish you good luck.
