The Multiwavelength Universe by NUCLIO on ISE
The Multiwavelength Universe by NUCLIO on ISE
Visible light is just a part of the full electromagnetic spectrum. One of the biggest obstacles for measuring light at different wavelengths is the Earth's own atmosphere. To observe at some wavelengths, telescopes must be placed at very high altitude, and sometimes even launched into space. This activity is an introduction to the electromagnetic spectrum from the point of view of astronomy.
