Inspiring Science Education - ISE Contest implementation

Inspiring Science Education - ISE Contest implementation
This is a schools community of European Distance and E-learning Network
Domain: ICT

This Contest is related to the Inspiring Science Education project, that has been selected as a good pactice. The project awas introduced at the Digiskills workshop of the Synergy Strand at the 2014 EDEN Annual Conference, (see the good practice at the Digiskills Good Practices Repository)  for it's great resources and transferability potential.

This competition is all about recognising and rewarding inspirational science teaching practice. If you are a teacher who is planning to run an exciting experiment in your science class between now and March 31, 2015; this is a chance for you to highlight your work to schools and policy-makers all over Europe.

This is how it works:

1) Teachers use digital resources and create a teaching scenario about light. They use digital resources, labs or virtual experiments via ISE to enrich their scenario.

2) Digiskills's EDEN team supports teachers during the preparation of the scenario though the Digiskills community, by providing guidance or access to respective resources

3) Upon the submission of the scenario, teachers come back to the Digiskills community to share their views/comments/experiences

4) EDEN collects and analyses feedback for evaluation and share the summary of results with ISE.

The contest winner will be invited to Ellinogermaniki Agogi's participation to the Inspiring Science Education summer school that will be organised this summer in Greece:   http://ise.ea.gr/content/description-international-year-light-summerschool

The experiences of this contest will be presented in the framework of the Digiskills workshop at the Synergy Strand of the EDEN conference.
