EUREKA: The European Engagement in Kids Achievement Project
This is an ODS community supporting the implementation and reach of the EUREKA Erasmus+ project. The project aims to create a detailed manual for the identification of most able students which can be used across national boundaries. It will be created through the exchange of practice from all partners and build on the work of the Talented Child project. In addition a resource directory detailing best interventions will be developed to accompany the manual. The project also aims to deliver two courses based on the exchange of practice of partners for teachers and other associated professionals which will provide training on the identification of the most able children in education and secondly provide successful intervention techniques and resources. The training will be certificated and will involve a Higher Education Institution input.
The partnership is led by TITAN Partnership Ltd in the UK who lead on Most Able initiatives in large areas of Birmingham. They have worked with KPPP Zlin on the Talented Child project and have formed a strong bond for development. Birmingham City University(BCU) have significant expertise in teacher development and course design and will contribute this to the EUREKA project an area rich for development. Ellinogermaniki Agogi in Greece bring great research and creative skills to the partnership and will use this to develop significant resources, whilst GRETB through two of its secondary schools will contribute expertise from an embryonic but highly innovative setting in Ireland.
