To encourage connecting science through data acquisition and ownership of data by students. It promotes scientific enquiry and involves students in the experimental process and promotes inquiry based learning with problem solving. The e tool is all based around data acquisitions, either through sensors or through video analysis. In a concept known as data logging, students can use an array of sensors (over 80 different ones) to perform experiments and take data. Also, using mpg files or video input, experiments can similarly be conducted. The internal sensors of an iPAD for example, can also be used for data collection using the app available on iTunes
